When I photograph dressage, I do so knowing that we all like to see pictures of our performance and some of us are not lucky enough to have someone with us at the time to capture how well the test went.

When a test feels awful and we know our horse is being a complete idiot and doing its utmost to upstage us in the arena at the worst possible time, remember all test have nice "moments" too. My job is to capture some of these moments in your time of need and post them on this website to reassure you that it honestly wasn't "the worst test ever!".

When a test goes well on the other hand and the horse and camera are in harmony, I find it hard to choose which images to upload and can get carried away (and I am a sucker for the pretty/handsome eyecatchers i'm afraid).

I will not use flash in the indoor school as this can startle horses and ponies and I am not there to spoil your dressage tests in any way. This unfotunately also means I will not be able to caputure the later tests during the Winter months approximately post 15:30hrs - although I do carry a flash and should you specifically wish to have an indoor shot of yourself and know your horse will not react to the flash then I will gladly oblige.

If you find a photo you like so much along the way that you would like to buy a print of, then you can do so through the website at any time by clicking on the trolley at the upper left hand corner of the thumbnail sized image.

PLEASE NOTE: £1 from every print/digital image sold at all the FCRT events will be donated to the Fortune Centre Of Riding Therapy in support of their charitable and admirable work.
